The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology is an important academic institution in the state and across the region.  Ranked among the top 50 public universities in the country, the University is also a leading Hispanic- and Native American-serving educational institution.  It has worked successfully to build strategic partnerships with other institutions and government agencies and to broaden its reach, influence, and reputation.  However, New Mexico Tech is relatively small with around 1,200 undergraduates, It is also physically remote, located in the small community of Socorro, more than an hour’s drive south of Albuquerque.  Given its unique place, the university requires additional support to grow productive, strategic relationships.

Agenda is New Mexico Tech’s agency of record and has focused on expanding its communications, cooperation agreements, and branding programs – especially among their many partnerships with federal organizations and agencies. For example, this included a complete rebranding and website development for the National Cave and Karst Institute and communications planning and strategic engagement for the Institute for Complex Additive Systems Analysis.

Additionally, we worked closely with New Mexico Tech and its Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center on a variety of strategic planning, communications, public relations, and advocacy projects with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Cyber Command, and the U.S. Congress.

American institutions of higher learning are under increasing strain, scrambling to attract students and maintain program excellence.  Their mission is even more important to the communities they serve.  Agenda is proud to work for New Mexico Tech and expand its reach and reputation, ensuring that its roots are strong, and its relationships and opportunities are always expanding.
