The Amputee Coalition was founded 30 years ago to provide support, education and advocacy to people affected by limb loss or limb difference. The Coalition hired Agenda to help create awareness of the real-life needs of the limb loss and limb difference community, highlight Limb Loss Awareness Month, encourage individuals with limb loss/difference to attend Amputee Coalition’s Hill Days in Washington, D.C., promote the Coalition’s online political engagement tool and create a meaningful dialogue with the limb loss/difference community. Our team created and implemented a multi-channel, awareness and advocacy campaign involving national public relations, social media and state-level grass roots and national policy influence. Social media focused on targeting potential attendees for Hill Days with a specific call to action to sign up to attend via AmplifyYourself.org. Additional calls to action included Write Your Legislators, Write Your Insurers, Share Your Story/Amplify Yourself, Wear Orange in support of Limb Loss Awareness month and Participate in Hill Days virtually.
