Agenda has represented AT&T at state and local levels since 1994. Initially, our work leveraged governors and state PUCs to impact the 1996 federal Telecom Act, specifically to ensure a strong state role in determining local and long distance service competition (271 filing process and Intralata.) Subsequently, we have helped AT&T build a highly successful national advocacy program by integrating and leveraging their federal, state and local advocacy efforts, along with deploying highly successful public affairs and grassroots campaigns. We have served as primary liaison with states to help identify, retain, and manage field consultants, shape state-based legislation and coordinate efforts to impact the FCC on critical issues such as spectrum allocation, transition to IP, anti-trust concerns and other high priority policy issues. During the proposed merger with T-Mobile, we helped coordinate unprecedented support with governors and state PUCs. Currently, our work focuses on high-level advisory at the RGA & DGA level.
