Kristen Hawn has a decade of experience specializing in both political and corporate public affairs campaigns. For the past five years, Hawn served as the Communications Director for the influential Blue Dog Coalition, serving as senior advisor and spokesperson tasked with communicating the group‘s priorities to all local, national and international media. Hawn developed strategic communications campaigns around health care, energy and fiscal priorities.
Hawn also served as liaison to the White House and key third party allies.
Prior to joining Agenda and her work in Congress, Hawn worked for international corporate public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard, serving as the Washington, D.C. account lead for SBC Communications. Hawn worked closely with SBC‘s internal communications team, where she led the development of key messages, strategic outreach and media relations surrounding the company‘s historic merger with AT&T. Hawn also directed communications activities across the country surrounding SBC‘s corporate foundation.
Hawn holds her Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
