Christian has acquired vast experience and possesses uncommon expertise in the public relations, strategic communications and public affairs arenas. Prior to establishing her own firm in 2008, Christian had the privilege of working for two of the most prestigious public relations firms in the world, one of the top oil and gas producers in the nation, a nationally recognized educational non-profit organization and the Texas Senate.

As former president of Pure Energy Communications, LLC, a boutique communications firm specializing in energy-related issues, Christian served a variety of clients from the traditional, alternative and renewable energy spaces.  As a resident of Texas, the leading energy producing state in the nation, Christian has gained deep-rooted knowledge of the energy sector and has developed strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers and the media.

Prior to founding Pure Energy Communications, Christian served as vice president at the Austin office of Cohn & Wolfe Read-Poland, an international public relations firm.  While serving in that role, she was responsible for managing the corporate/public affairs team on a variety of client accounts, including Cities Aggregation Power Project, Teachers Retirement System of Texas and Uranium Energy Corp.

Before joining Cohn & Wolfe Read-Poland in October 2007, Christian served as a public affairs specialist for Marathon Oil Corporation in Houston, Texas, where she managed the public affairs activities of three core production business units, including Marathon’s Alaskan Business Unit, Southern Business Unit, and Rocky Mountain Business Unit.  While at Marathon, most of Christian’s time was spent in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming and Montana where she was responsible for driving several coal-bed methane communications outreach campaigns.

Christian also spent close to four years working for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, the world’s largest independent public relations firm, where she managed multiple client accounts, including the famed Butterball Turkey Talk Line, Compass Bank on Business, Equity Office Properties Trust, Texas Beef Council, SC Johnson, ConAgra, AON, Sears Tires, Kolcraft and Claritin.

Christian began her career as project coordinator for The Earth’s Birthday Project, a nationally recognized educational non-profit organization based in her hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  In this role, she promoted the organization’s environmental goals to national media.

Christian graduated magna cum laude from St. Edward’s University with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies.  Her love for public affairs and the legislative process began while working as an aide to Texas State Senator Don Henderson from Houston.

Christian currently lives in Austin, Texas with her 7 year old son.
