Chris Collier is a veteran of California public relations and public affairs with nearly a decade of experience crafting strategy and navigating complex public policy and communications issues for clients across the state.
Over the last 8 years, Collier has worked on over 80 political races across California and has successfully worked to elect officials from Sacramento to Los Angeles. His work has included strategy, messaging, media relations and political engagement.
He serves energy, transportation and land use clients like NRG Energy, Plains All American Pipeline, Shea Homes, and the Western States Petroleum Association.
He has worked in crisis communications and media relations in markets in the Central Valley (Fresno, Bakersfield), Central Coast (Monterey, Santa Barbara, Ventura), Los Angeles, and Inland Empire (Riverside, San Bernardino. He has conducted statewide media relations for political candidates (Pete Peterson for Secretary of State 2014) and in 2015 he worked with Plains All American Pipeline’s media team in Santa Barbara during their oil spill on the Gaviota Coast. He has been working on media relations for Western States Petroleum Association since 2015 and most recently assisted their team with media inquiries related to the Thomas Fire and its effects on surrounding oilfields.
He graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Business Administration and has his Masters in Public Policy & Administration from California Lutheran University.
